Louis Vuitton Black Revelation

Louis Vuitton has launched an all-black variant of their successful Monogram collections called Monogram Revelations.

The Monogram series from Louis Vuitton have long ago become so successful commercially that the iconic bags are seen everywhere and on everyone. This success and resulting overexposure is perhaps the reason why I have never really wanted one. Instead prefer the clean understated designs of the Epi leather series (see below).

The new Revelation collection launched for Autumn/Winter 09 is a welcome spin on the Monogram design. The well-known Monogram design is raised embossed in black leather. Just black with a few silvery metal bits. Quite an understated take on the LV classic. I like.
