Today, as the World leaders were struggling to agree on carbon emissions at the COP15 summit on climate change Aston Martin emits limited editions of their two top-of-the-range sports cars; the DBS and V12 Vantage called Carbon Black Limitied Edition.
Aston Martin today released special black editions of two of the most beautiful and desirable cars in the world, making them even more desirable. The original DBS was launched in 2007 and is Aston Martinīs ultimate GT sports car and also one of the most harmonious and beautiful. The Vantage V12 was released earlier this year and is based on the V8 Vantage; a hand-crafted sports car that offers exceptional performance, outstanding agility and everyday usability.
The paint of the Carbon Black Limited Edition cars is a bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint especially formulated with a subtle metallic twist to create a deep rich patina. The deep black paint has a subtle metallic sparkle that changes with the viewing angle. Craftsmen spends 50 hours on each car creating the special black finish.
The rest of the cars trim and equipment reads like a dictionary of black:
One of the coolest uses of black in the design of the Carbon Black series is not mentioned by Aston Martin in any of their press material. The black brake calipers are a cool departure from the red used in many high-performance cars, but even cooler are the completely black brake discs.
