It is so long and it is black - the SORT table.

I designed this table especially for the advertising agency SORT. With SORT we wanted to create a company where everybody pulled together as one team without the usual creative vs. admin rift too often seen. We have employed strong personalities who are all extremely good at what they do and they have very different personalities. When everybody sits at the same table it facilitates teamwork and it is just more fun.

The table is a true mastodont being 11 meters long and 2 meters wide. It was built on the very spot where it stands and there it will remain - too big to move. The wooden table is covered in a single piece of natural lineoleum which extends from the floor all along the full length and down to the floor at the other end creating one continuous fluid surface. The lineoleum gives a warm natural touch that seems warm in the cold and cool when it is warm.

The table has a unique dual-layer desktop construction which bends to form the supports at both ends. The lower desk layer leaves just enough room for paperwork, keyboard, mouse, pens and everything else that would otherwise clutter the desktop.

It is big, it is black and it works.
