Madonna in Black Givenchy Haute Couture

Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour 2009 kicked off on July 4th in London with the queen of pop wearing an amazing black outfit suitably designed by Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci.

Especially designed for Madonna, Ricardo Tisci created a sensual couture black satin dress with large straps, worn on fishnet tights, combined with black leather gloves. Tisci, who is renowned for his gothic influence and use of dark fabrics, is delighted to be working with Madonna. “I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to offer the world of Givenchy Haute Couture to Madonna the Icon, the Artist, the Woman for whom I have so much respect and admiration. The new costume is super couture, sensual, Goth, bondage”. Says Ricardo Tisci. The outfit with “Gangster Pimp” influence consists of a cropped jacket in black double silk satin and tulle embroidered with black jet stone fringes with pleated silk organza, lace and black cellohane discs. It also comes with an open backed waistcoat with jet encrusted straps.
