The inspiration for Superfine AW11 GIPSY PUNK, “Sister midnight” and “Fascination Man” started with old images..
Some of the inspiration came from images of Roma Gypsies. The founder, Lucy Printer became very fascinated with the fabrics she saw in the images. Also an image of Adam Ant and Vivienne Westwood at the funeral of “The Godfather of punk”, Malcolm McLaren inspired her and the “Gipsy Punk” collection was born. The two ideas merged simply and organically, with wools and denims mixing easily with Prince of Wales checks, Union jackets, bondage details, old ailed leathers and oversized zips. The colours of GIPSY PUNK collection are dark with a dangerously mix of deep purples, dark greens, blacks and greys.
The models at the photographs for Superfine AW11 GIPSY PUNK are Irina Lazaraenu, Natasa Vojnovic and Stephane Olivier. Check out the GIPSY PUNK pictures..
