Fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld has handpicked singing star Lily Allen to front the Fall/Winter advertising campaign for the new handbag collection Chanel Coco Cocoon to launch in October 2009.
The news comes as no surprise, following Allen's star turn at the Chanel ready-to-wear show in Paris last February, where she turned up in a candyfloss pink mini dress, with the highest of heels and a white leather handbag (all by Chanel, of course), as well a new, shorter haircut. The black and white images were shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself and features Lilly looking distinctly Lagerfeld-like, wearing the designer’s signature monochrome hues, fingerless gloves and neat tailoring.
