Two L.A. brothers on a quest to make the best and blackest backpacks.
I have often wished that someone would create a truly useful backpack that is stylish enough for using around town. Needless to say it should be black. All black - with none of the contrasting red, orange or any other colour details such a logos, piping, zips and that designers much too often add to their otherwise black products. And it should be simple; cut down to the basics without loosing useful functionality. Hard wearing yet stylish enough for the office.
Well, it seems like somebody has. The small independent L.A. company Ignoble has. And I just have to love a backpack company whose tag line is "Black. Backpack. The essential carryall for the modern man.".
Ignoble was founded in 2009 by two brothers with shared passions for black fabric and intelligent design. With more than two decades of collective experience in consumer and soft goods manufacturing, they work from a home-base in Los Angeles, communicating their obsession for high quality, independently produced men's backpacks to all who will listen. Ignoble bags are made in the U.S.A., hand assembled in small runs by a military-grade soft goods production facility.
"Ignoble is a men’s brand focused on style-conscious, thoughtfully designed black backpacks. Operating from the belief that a well conceived bag is the essential tool of urban survival, and that the sense of identity imparted by a backpack's shape and materials is as important as the usefulness of the bag's features, Ignoble produces high utility, fashion conscious backpacks equally at home on the road and in the workplace." from the Ignoble website.
They currently produce only two products the sleek modern 32 liter Mona and their own cool take on the classic backpack the 36 liter Cora. Both are as black at it gets with just the simple Ignoble logo in white.
