Highlight from New York Fashion Week - Rad Hourani

A cheeky, androgynous an all black collection full of leather, neoprene, chunky knits, sequins, and zippers signatured the Rad Hourani Fall 2010 show during the New York Fashion Week

The collection consists only of unisex items and featured both male and female models in layers of black on the runway. The overall message from the designer was transformation. The collection can be worn upside down or even backwards intentionally as Rad Hourani wants his audience to use the items as capes, backpacks, skirts, jackets or anything imaginable.

The designer do not like to put limits to gender and therefore do not believe in making a difference between the two. He emphasized this statement by letting the male models ungracefully wear high heals. "Unisex is my main focus," Hourani says. "All my pieces are unisex so you can wear it feminine, masculine, a guy can wear it, a girl can wear it, at any age, anytime, anywhere."

All the models both male and female were dressed in tights and some also in shorts but the collection also featured the signature bandage leather pants wearable without the transformative qualities such as the coats featuring multiple compartments able to transform into several shapes.

The all black coherent collection was beautifully designed and executed by the very promising and talented designer Rad Hourani.
