I've never quite taken to Spiderman as a super hero. Sure he climbs buildings and shoots web, but that blue and red spandex suit really does not do it for me. So when I saw the images from Spiderman 3 of a cool looking black Spiderman my hopes were up.
Let's examine the evidence: Black Spiderman in the top picture and blue/red Spiderman below. Which one is more likely to scare off a villain. Well my vote (not surprisingly) goes to the Black Spiderman. In the movie the black version, despite some cool attitudes and powers represents Spiderman's (Peter Parker's) dark sides and is fought as a villain in itself. That's good for Metropolis I agree, but why didn't he keep the cool black suit?
