She has received Academy Award nominations for Best Original Screenplay for "When Harry Met Sally," "Silkwood," and "Sleepless in Seattle," which she also directed. Her book I Feel Bad About My Neck," will be published by Knopf in August. She lives in New York City with her husband, writer Nicholas Pileggi.
Ephron was married to journalist Carl Bernstein in the late-1970s. They divorced after she discovered him having an affair with Labour Party politician Baroness Margaret Jay. She wrote a novel based on the incident, which was made into the film Heartburn, starring Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson. She is now married to writer Nicholas Pileggi
Until the 2005 revelation, Ephron was one of the only people to know that W. Mark Felt was the true identity of "Deep Throat".
