Multi-touch Finger Paintings

Self confessed, and I agree, Bad Ass Motherfucker Evan Roth created these prints using forensic finger printing techniques after performing routine tasks on multi-touch handheld devices.

The Paris based American artist Evan Roth is a man with his his finger on the pulse. I love his earlier works like the 2012 Propulsion Paintings and his 2005 Google Intervention where he managed to get himself to #1 on Google for the search term Bad Ass Motherfucker. With the Multi-touch Finger Paintings he once again manages to capture the zeitgeist and create beautiful art at the same time by turning into visible, almost tangible, form that both elevates the multi-touch gestures to high art while at the same time showing the gestures that hold such importance to the device users as something as mundane as fingerprints. A beautiful detail is in the title of "evan@evan-roth.com (Self Portrait)" which likens the modern day email address to a self-portrait.
