Connie Lim

Connie Lim is a seamstress and designer but it was her black illustration of the Queen of Spades that first caught my eye.

Connie Lim has worked in many areas of fashion from being a personal assistant to a freelance seamstres, but where she really shines is in her illustration work. I love her Queens series where she has recreated the queens of a deck of cards in a fashion illustration style. I especially like the sad and worn Queen of Spades and the Queen of Hearts - is she dreaming or sad, is that blood on her lips or is it love?
