If you happen to be looking for a new set of chairs then take a look at this almost alive Animal Chair collection by Máximo Riera.

The Animal Chair Collection, a series of furniture’s is based on mammals, reptiles, and even insects. This series constitutes an immense variety of design, where furniture and animals are the main components. Maximo Riera chose something as mundane as the chair as the basis of this collection to create an even stronger juxtaposition with the beastly animals.

The Octopus Chair was the first piece of the Animal Chair collection, and it establishes a base and point of departure for the pieces to come. Besides the octopus the collection also includes rhino and walrus with lion, beetle and whale chairs coming soon. Every chair is a limited edition project and each section has been signed and dated for complete authentication.

The Spanish artist Maximo Riera has been working over thirty years with painting, sculpture and poetry. This collection is his first foray into furniture design.
